The Great British Koi Show was a new annual
event that took place at Newark Showground.

219 KOI WERE Last year the Yorkshire Section of the BKKS held its
first Open Show at Newark. Many of you will remember
ENTERED IN the name. The Great British Koi Show (GBKS).
THE SHOW Over the last few years the Club held a Closed Show at
the Pastures hotel in Mexborough, but unfortunately
this was no longer possible so varying options were
considered, but the best option was for an Open Show
at Newark Showground, so we hired 2 halls in the
Crocker complex.

of World of Nishikigoi. The Club appointed a Show Chairman, James Colley
who, looking back now did a fantastic job, not only with
gaining sponsorship and dealers attending, but in
Koi keepers moved around
the centre Show ring viewing making sure the GBKS was talked about far and wide
the exhibitors’ Koi. and making it the success it was.
