KOI CLUBS
South Hants Koi Club
The South Hants Koi Club (SHKC) is one of many
Sections of the British Koi Keepers Society around the
country. Our object is to promote and encourage the
hobby of Koi Keeping within South Hampshire and the
surrounding areas and to aid fellow members where
possible. Our Section was founded in 1990 and is still
very much thriving with many members.
During the winter (October to April) we meet at 8pm on
the second Tuesday of every month (except January), at
the All Saints Church Hall, Hambledon Road, Denmead,
Hampshire, PO7 6NN. We usually have a guest speaker,
however, if not available, we have a Koi related evening.
During the summer (May to September) we meet at 2pm
on the second Sunday of every month at a member’s
garden, usually around their pond. We aim to provide a
Koi related theme during these summer meetings.
Also during the summer months, various activities, trips,
etc. are organised and we sometimes arrange exchange
visits with other Koi Clubs. Our auction has become a
popular event, with both Koi and various items of
equipment auctioned. We also have our own pond open
days where members open their ponds to other
members and we finish up with a BBQ or buffet at the
last garden. This is another splendid way of becoming
acquainted, not just with fellow members but also with
the many variations of Koi ponds and filter systems.
Annual membership is just £20 per annum, per household,
which includes the receipt of our monthly magazine. If
you are not sure if you want to join our Club, you are
very welcome to attend one of our Club nights or Club
afternoons without any obligation to help you make up
your mind. We are just friendly Koi keepers, so there will
be absolutely no pressure to join.
For all enquiries, please email: contact@shkc.co.uk or
visit our website www.southhantskoiclub.co.uk You can
also join on-line directly via our website if you wish.
