Blistering hot weather all over the UK at the end of
June and many people’s Koi are spawning, they were
spawning at the National Show when I was there last
weekend and I hope everyone got their Koi home safely.
I’ve featured The Yorkshire Koi Society Members’ Show,
which is an annual event, when a team of four including
judge, Allan Tait, visit Club members’ ponds, net their
Koi, bowl them, bench them and Allan judges them. The
results are announced at the Club’s BBQ in August. It’s
a good idea for Clubs who don’t have resources to hold
a Show at an outside venue.

Andy Finch explains that water taken from the tap is not
safe for Koi and it needs to be treated to make it safe.
