KOI NET
THE ON-LINE KOI MAGAZINE
Welcome to the 12th Issue of Koi Net and the first
Issue of 2019. After a year when everything seemed to
be busy and going well in the Koi industry, it was sad to
hear Gatwick Koi’s tragic news that after checking some
newly imported Koi, Gary called in CEFAS, who
confirmed that the recent import in Gary’s quarantine
facility had tested positive for KHV in two ponds.
Thankfully, Gary’s quarantine facility is in another
building, a short walk from the shop, so no chance of
cross infection. However, Gary has made the decision to
destroy all the Koi in all his quarantine ponds, just to be
on the safe side, which apart from being upsetting, is a
considerable cost to his business.
