                             Welcome to the 12th Issue of Koi Net and the first
                             Issue of 2019. After a year when everything seemed to
                             be busy and going well in the Koi industry, it was sad to
                             hear Gatwick Koi’s tragic news that after checking some
                             newly imported Koi, Gary called in CEFAS, who
                             confirmed that the recent import in Gary’s quarantine
                             facility had tested positive for KHV in two ponds.
                             Thankfully, Gary’s quarantine facility is in another
                             building, a short walk from the shop, so no chance of
                             cross infection. However, Gary has made the decision to
                             destroy all the Koi in all his quarantine ponds, just to be
                             on the safe side, which apart from being upsetting, is a
                             considerable cost to his business.
