KOI WATER BARN

FESTIVAL OF KOI

This year Koi Water Barn arranged a two day
‘Festival of Koi’ event which took place on Saturday,
AS ALWAYS, 10th and Sunday, 11th of September. Day one was
the ‘End of Summer Auction’ – it didn’t feel like the
THERE WAS end of summer, the sun was shining and it felt quite
PLENTY OF hot as the buyers arrived at the massive greenhouse
which always houses the Koi Water Barn Auctions.
FOOD AND
As always, there was plenty of food and drinks to
DRINKS TO enjoy and the buyers could view the Koi before the
ENJOY start of the Auction. There were 20 Lots of smaller Koi
in bags, these included Kohaku, Sanke and Showa
from Sakai and a variety of other Koi from Beppu,
Omosako, Oofuchi, Maruhiro and Yamasan. There
were 30 individual Lots which were displayed in a
large vat. Many people had viewed the Auction Koi on
the KWB Facebook page prior to the Auction to see
what was on offer.

Keith put a spark of interest
into the Auction by starting
several opening bids at £1.00.
Buyers sat in two rows while
the Koi were taken down the
aisle so that buyers could
view the Koi before bidding.
