Day two of the ‘Festival of Koi’ took place in the same
large greenhouse, along one side there were several
large vats displaying Koi for sale. All these Koi were
offered at massive reductions in price. One of the vats
had large Koi taken from the main pond in the shop
which were for sale at 50% of shop price! There was a
vat of Omosako Shiro Utsuri, another with Dainichi and
Sakai Kohaku, Sanke and Showa, also a vat of mixed
varieties – all at discounted prices.
Later, James Quan of Oase gave an informative talk on
how to make savings on energy running your Koi Pond

The next auction will be the ‘Feed The Fish’ Auction
on Sunday, 30th October. Keith put these Koi outside
in the ‘Feed The Fish’ pond early in the spring where
they have been growing on and visitors have been
feeding the Koi over the summer months.

It’s always a surprise when these Koi are netted for the
Auction, you just don’t know what to expect! Some Koi
have grown really big, others are little gems that no
one else has spotted.
